Sumner Area Swim Team At Sumner Area Swim Team, we're a competitive rec swim team that loves to race, cheer loud, and grow stronger.

We’re all about progress, perseverance, and having fun while doing it. every SAST Shark swimmer is a work in progress—with a champion’s mindset. The Sumner Area Swim Team is a park and rec based swim team that competes during June and July. The swim team not only includes swimmers from Sumner but also Tripoli, Fredericksburg, and Readlyn. The team competes in the Northeast Iowa Swim Conference.

Exciting News!

This Saturday, Restored Nutrition will be hosting a Fundraiser for the SAST Sharks!!! A portion of the proceeds will go directly to our team!!! This is a great opportunity for us and we want to have our team represented while it is going on. Anyone that is able, please come to Restored tomorrow during their open hours (8-12) to help out. They would like a few people there to help open doors, wave in customers and walk around with a donation bucket. I will be there from 9-10 in anyone wants to come then they can. We would love a few at other times too! Thanks for helping the team! Also, stop in and support the team while getting a delicious drink from Restored!

For the meet tonight please have older kids (12+) at the pool at 3:30 to help with setting up and littles at the pool between 4:00 and 4:15. Thanks!

Meet is still on at ELKADER. Please plan to bring extra towels, sweatshirts, and blankets to keep your swimmers warm between warm ups and events! As always, it’s a great idea to bring an extra pair of goggles, healthy snacks, and plenty of water! See you there!

Just a quick friendly reminder to have your swimmers declared or declined for this week’s meets in Elkader on Tuesday and home Thursday! (Please do so by 6pm tonight!) If you need carpool rides, please reach out! Several of us are able to help out! Also, please sign up for jobs Thursday as well (there are lots of openings!)

FINDRAISER NEWS!!!

👏Today concluded the Hurts Donut fundraiser. I am so excited to report that we raised $1,700 for our club!!!! Great job everyone! This money is used to pay our coaches and buy supplies like ribbons, printer paper, ink and equipment for practice. Thank you so much to everyone that participated! We truly couldn't keep our team going with all your hard work. 🙌
