Sumner Area Swim Team At Sumner Area Swim Team, we're a competitive rec swim team that loves to race, cheer loud, and grow stronger.

We’re all about progress, perseverance, and having fun while doing it. every SAST Shark swimmer is a work in progress—with a champion’s mindset. The Sumner Area Swim Team is a park and rec based swim team that competes during June and July. The swim team not only includes swimmers from Sumner but also Tripoli, Fredericksburg, and Readlyn. The team competes in the Northeast Iowa Swim Conference.

What a great showing by our swimmers at our last meet before conference at Cresco! Our team made 39 PRs Tuesday night! Leading the pack were Ryleigh Walton, Kason Thurman, and Caleb Marsh with THREE!! The following had 2: Cassidy Bock, Kate Boehmler, Lillie Fink, Aubrey Fox, Charlie Johnson, Brylee Uhlenhopp, Dylan Hunt, and Jason Wolfe! The following also showed improvement on one event: Sterling Duhrkopf, Sage Duhrkopf, Mason Brown, Reese Fox, Amos Boehmler, Greyson Bergman, Berkley Leech, Jadelyn Wolfe, Rain Robertson, Sidney Rader, Paisley Oberbroeckling, Taylar Marsh, and Makenna Boevers. What great improvement this year! We’re so proud of you!!!

The 🦈 have a lot to be proud of! Last night’s meet ran so smoothly (thank you to all of our volunteers! It’s been a great season!) Our swimmers had some amazing PRs last night!
First off: Dylan Hunt and Caleb Marsh both scored 3 PRs! That’s so awesome at this point in the season!
The following also earned 2 PRs: Cassidy Bock, Kate Boehmler, Reese Fox, and Jadelyn Wolfe!!
Many made improvements, and the following earned 1 PR: Greyson Bergman, Jaxon Bergmann, Ryker Bock, Amos Boehmler, Charis Bram, Sage Duhrkopf, Sterling Duhrkopf, Aubrey Fox, Charlotte Johnson, Delaney Marsh, Taylar Marsh, Kate Reisner, Paisley Oberbroeckling, Sidney Rader, and Jason Wolfe! Way to go sharks!!

Just a quick reminder to declare your swimmers for next Tuesday at Cresco and Saturday at Elkader! It makes is to much easier for our coaches when they know who can or cannot be at swim conference so they can place the best swimmer in each open event. Even if your child isn't the best in any event, declare anyways just in case someone else can't attend. They could still earn a spot! Thank you!

For the swim meet tonight there is a need for one more timer. Set up and Clean up could always use extra hands. If you are unsure of what to do, just ask everyone is willing to help teach.

No practice this morning! The weather is just uncooperative this week! We’ll hope it turns around next week for morning practice. Joseph plans to see the big kids tonight, but stay tuned!
