Strong schools build strong communities. 💙💛

That’s why community members from Sumner AND Fredericksburg have come together to form a united Citizens Committee in support of the upcoming Sumner-Fredericksburg Community School District bond referendum.

We’re not just neighbors. We’re parents, business owners, farmers, and taxpayers, and we’re asking you to join us in taking the first step toward a brighter future for our whole district.

Signing the petition doesn’t mean you’re committing to a yes or a no in November. It just gets this on the ballot so every voter in our district has a say. Whether you’re leaning yes, leaning no, or still deciding, your voice matters, and it starts with getting this to a vote.

We’re hoping to have signatures in by August 10 so it can go before the school board at their next meeting. The final deadline is August 26.

Community members are now circulating petitions asking the S-F School Board to place a general obligation bond referendum on the November ballot. ✍️

In addition to those being shared by community members, petitions are available at the district office (802 W. 6th St., Sumner) and will be available in all school buildings when office staff returns on August 3.

Signing a petition does not indicate support or opposition for a bond referendum. The petition is simply asking the board to provide an opportunity for S-F voters to consider a referendum next fall.

Petitions can be signed by eligible voters who reside in our school district. Once the necessary signatures are collected, the petitions can be submitted to the School Board for verification and consideration of the referendum request.
