We will be singing “Unto the Lamb” from the recent Bible Ballet.

👔 Attire: Sunday / business casual

🎟 Singers do not need a ticket to attend but must have a ticket to eat. I HAVE 12 DINNER TICKETS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! Guests and visitors will need to purchase tickets.

The Walker County Christian Chorus is inviting current and prospective singers to participate in a special community worship event:

✨ From Genesis to the Cross ✨

A worship experience tracing the Gospel story—from Creation through the Resurrection—told through the arts, including choir, music, dance, ballet, and theatrical storytelling.

This project is a great fit for singers who:
• Enjoy modern worship music arranged for choir
• Want to be part of a larger, multi-art worship experience
• Can commit to rehearsals and performance

First Rehearsal:

✨ A Night of Worship and Wonder – Messiah 2025 ✨

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude after Monday night’s performance of Handel’s Messiah at Grace Baptist Church in Sumiton, Alabama. It was an incredible evening—one that beautifully fulfilled our ministry’s purpose: to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through this timeless, classical masterpiece.

The turnout from our community was truly inspiring. Seeing so many gather for a night of Scripture, song, and celebration reminded us why we do what we do.

A special word of thanks to Tyra Shelley, our gifted conductor, whose musical leadership, prayerful preparation, and steady guidance shaped every note of this year’s performance. We are deeply grateful for the heart and excellence she brings to this ministry.

To our wonderful orchestra players: thank you for your artistry, professionalism, and the beauty you added to every movement.

To our choir members: you were outstanding—not only in performance but in the unity, support, and teamwork you showed throughout the process. Our choir reflects a rich blend of ages, generations, backgrounds, and community leaders, each offering their gifts for the glory of God.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the WCCC Board, who work faithfully all year long to prepare for and execute this event. Your dedication behind the scenes makes this ministry possible.

This year’s Messiah performance was truly a blessing, and we are deeply thankful to everyone who attended, participated, prayed, and supported this ministry.

May the message of Christ’s birth, His sacrifice, and His victory continue to resonate in every heart this season. 🎄
