We’re a new Kiwanis club working to change the future for children in East Walker County. Kiwanis exists to help children around the world. Some popular project

s that help kids include installing reading rooms in schools, packing backpacks with school supplies and programs that teach skills or provide safety lessons. The members of this new Kiwanis club will look at the needs of children in the community and decide the projects that will benefit local kids.

Come join us tonight at 6pm when we place our first Little Free Library at Yerkwood Fire Department! Our members got a sneak peek of the libraries a couple of weeks ago.
This would not be possible without partners like the Yerkwood Community Improvement Association and the Literacy Council of Walker County.
We are also grateful to Cawaco RC&D for funding this project through their grant program.
