Thank you very much Bob Emmons of the Sullivan Legion Post 139 for organizing this and all the volunteers that helped. It is a tribute to all the veterans who have served our great country to be remembered this Memorial Day

Friday, thousands of flags were planted to honor fallen veterans in Sullivan County.

The ceremony WILL BE ON THE COURTHOUSE SQUARE if no rain. Free bean dinner at the Sullivan American Legion Post 139 starting at Noon

The weather forecast for Monday is looking much better than we originally thought!
IF the weather allows, our Memorial Day ceremony will take place on the Square at the memorial as usual.
We sincerely apologize for the confusion and any inconvenience these quick changes may have caused. Our main goal is to ensure we can all gather safely.
However, if it does rain, we will use our backup indoor location
The Venue @ VFW Post 2459 (201 West Illinois Street).
Monday, May 25th Service starts at 10:30 AM

We hope to see everyone there on Monday as we stand together as a community to honor, respect, and remember what this day is really about.

There is no higher honor than providing a final salute to our fallen brothers and sisters.
