4-H camp counselors have been planning and training for weeks and looking forward to a great 2026 4-H camp at Shakamak State Park beginning June 7! Sullivan County 4-H camp counselors are Grayson Butkiewicz, Hayden Cox, Peyton Fields, Sophia Lambert (a junior director), Calli Stearley, and Gracie Wilkes. We ❤️ 4-H camp!

Come join Extension Educator Bailey Draper for an afternoon of drones! Youth will explore the exciting world of drone technology and discover how drones connect to the 4-H Aerospace project. Participants will even have the opportunity to fly drones and learn how these skills can be used in the Regional and State 4-H Drone Contests each spring!

A huge thank you to the Indiana Energy Association, Indiana Soybean Alliance, Indiana Corn Marketing Council, and the Indiana 4-H Foundation for providing funding to make this workshop possible. We are incredibly grateful for your support of hands-on learning opportunities for Sullivan County youth!

Sportfishing project members: Let’s go fishing with Project Superintendent, Maggie Danko! 🎣
Bring your own fishing pole and tackle if you have it. A few fishing poles and tackle sets will be available for those who do not have their own. Water and sunscreen will be provided.

Join Susan and Cara Gofourth for a 4-H Cake Decorating Workshop! 🎂
Please RSVP by calling 812-268-4332 or emailing [email protected] if your 4-H’er plans to attend. An adult is also welcome to attend with them.
This workshop will provide excellent information for all skill levels! Participants will learn what goes into creating a blue ribbon cake and what judges are looking for during judging. While we will not be decorating during the workshop, we will provide tried and true recipes for royal icing and fondant.

Join us for Part 2 of our fun-filled Arts & Crafts Afternoon on Wednesday, June 17!
From 12–3 p.m., 4-H volunteer Pam Irvin will lead a hands-on Barn Quilt Painting Workshop where youth will create a barn quilt painting 4-H project that can be exhibited at the Sullivan County 4-H Fair.
Then, from 3–5 p.m., Extension Educator Cheryl Casselman and 4-H Program Assistant Susan Gofourth will host a Quilling Workshop where participants will learn the basics of quilling and create a craft project that can also be exhibited at the Sullivan County 4-H Fair.
Attend one session or stay for both!

Join us on Tuesday, June 16, for a fun-filled arts and crafts afternoon!
From 12–2 p.m., Extension Educator Bailey Draper and Office Manager Jena Pirtle will lead a hands-on Cricut workshop. Participants will learn how to use a Cricut machine to create 4-H projects that can be shown at the Sullivan County 4-H Fair, as well as make a small take-home craft.
Then, from 2–4 p.m., Summer Assistant Kaycee Gofourth will host a scrapbooking workshop where you’ll learn the basics of scrapbooking and create a fun take-home craft.

Shooting Sports kick off meeting tonight (May 21) at 7pm in the 4-H building for those enrolled in the shooting sports project. It should last about an hour. You do not need to bring anything.
