COULD A WELL KNOWN COMPANY THAT IS DOING EXTREMELY WELL, GET CAUGHT “COOKING THE BOOKS” AND FALTER?
This is a question I have before the Lord. During my recent summit event in Seattle, I was awakened one morning to one word: ENRON.
I expressed this to the crew who were traveling with me on the road, wondering if it bear some kind of meaning about a future event replicating the past.
As many of you might know, Enron was a company, here in Houston, which suffered an incredible loss due to fraudulent bookkeeping activity. On the outside it was extremely successful, but behind the scenes, it was handling its business corruptly. The exposure came all at once and every investor of their stock suffered a great loss. The employees were devastated. Not only did they lose their employment, but they were stockholders, as well. This is just from my memory. I was in Houston at the time and it was on the news daily.
On this very day that I heard that word, after telling my crew, one of them sent me this report which had just appeared on X: “Twenty five years ago in August, Enron, who at one point was the 7th largest company in the US, was down 53% ATH peak to trough and their CEO abruptly resigned. A couple months later the stock tanked to $2 and was heading towards bankruptcy. Then on Nov 2001, $NVDA replaced Enron in the S&P500. Nvidia at the time was sporting a tiny $7B market capitalization. Today Nvidia is almost 800x the size of that.”
I don’t really follow the news. Why would I hear that word and then someone decided to write about it on that very day? Could this be a warning? Might another well established company fall in like manner? Or is it possible I picked up on the energy of its anniversary? I really don’t know.
However, I think if you are reading this as an investor of stocks, you should pray about the month of November. Carefully consider that there may be an event to take a stock or many stocks down to a great loss during this time of November 2026. In the case of Enron, investors never regained their investments.
I have many questions before the Lord regarding investment and market moves right now. We are in some questionable times. I’m going to Arizona next week to fast and pray. I hope to have some clarity when I return. As I have shared between now and the end of November, there will be much activity on the chess board. I desire the people of God to be a step ahead of the next move. Having clarity could bring in a lot of money for the “Kingdom givers” to increase their ability to give and be a blessing to the work of God. Having knowledge beforehand could also prevent heavy losses to people with 401Ks.
God has used me in this way before. Some of you know in the 1990’s when Microsoft was everything and Apple computer was a struggling, unstable company, God spoke to me about about Apple. My mother was a stockbroker and she was getting ready to invest $40,000. She asked me what to buy. I prayed and the Lord showed me Apple. Because she had knowledge of its instability and was influenced by her colleagues, she opted out of my suggestion. Soon after my recommendation, Microsoft was determined to be a monopoly and was ordered by the government to give Apple a great deal of money. The stock went up tremendously and continued to have tremendous success throughout the 90’s.
A few years back, God spoke to me about Exxon. I shared with those in my church who are investors and givers. They have ridden the high of the great success this stock has experienced over the past couple of years. I was also given a word about silver around 2012. I shared and many prospered greatly who invested at that time.
I’m not sure if the word that I heard means anything, but I find it very interesting and worth investigating. I believe many things will be uncovered during this time. If companies are running businesses without true transparency, it may be disclosed during this time.
Anyway, I’m just sharing to put it out there and encouraging prayer. I really believe God will give seed to the sower and prosper people who are willing to support the gospel. God will give us knowledge when we have His same intentions. Remember what I have been speaking about during the recent services: “God honors the prayers of those who pray in alignment with their purpose.” There are many marked to have great gains because they are gifted by God to bring in tremendous wealth into the Kingdom. Intentions and actions(works) following those intentions are important to God.
He will honor the faithful.
