Midas FA

Midas FA A Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit using soccer, mentorship, and education to help children and teenagers build discipline, confidence, and purpose.

Through our Right to Play model, we keep access affordable so no child is left out. Midas Football Academy is a mission-driven project that provides mentoring services to children and teenagers in Houston and its metropolis. We use the tool of soccer as a focus in three areas to discourage at-risk tendencies and provide a purposeful life path for our youths. MFA served over 250 children, teenagers, and young adults in 2023 alone, through our various outreach programs.

A beautiful finish by one of our own Leandro to get us back in the game on Saturday.

Awal with a great assist to help with that finish.

Failure is not the opposite of success, it's part of it.

After Saturday's 1-0 loss, one of our coaches sat the boys down. Not to dwell on the scoreline, but to turn it into a lesson.

Because at Midas Football Academy, we don't measure a loss by the final score. We measure it by what a young person learns from it, resilience, self-reflection, and the courage to get back up.

This is what sets us apart. We're not just developing players. We're developing people who know how to lose with grace, learn with humility, and come back stronger.

Watch Coach break it down for our boys.

When someone is struggling in private, shame often keeps them silent and withdrawn. They might feel no one cares because no one notices or asks.

Imagine a classmate sitting alone, quiet, with no friends. You're not bullying them, but you also don't say anything. Letting them be is a choice.

The Private Practice Behind Public Glory: During one of the recently concluded sessions of IWURI (Aspire) mentorship program.

Our facilitator Michael Andrade shares how one of the greatest athlete and basketball star committed to 500 shots every single day, without fail.

The dedication required for that level of practice is immense. You can't achieve greatness without putting in the work when no one is watching.
