Mother's Day is quickly approaching, and we would love to have you join us tomorrow, May 9th, from 11:30 AM-1 PM in the STC Lobby/Cafe to craft a special gift for your loved one and destress! There will be DIY bracelet beading, paint supplies, and DIY cards.

Take what you need to make something special, but make sure to share with others!

We're bringing the carnival to YOU! Thursday, May 4th, 11 AM-2 PM in the Student Center Parking Lot!

Join us for a Carnival featuring six different carnival-style games, a prize wheel, an inflatable, Culinary Gangsters food truck, and a chance to dunk our new president!

The dunk tank will also feature our very own Tim Betustak (Athletics) and Jenny Becker (Money Matters)!

You won't want to miss this!

Students celebrated Earth Day 🌎 the right way - in service!

Student Life hosted their annual Day of Service event where over 100 students came out to give back to their community.

A big thanks to Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry, Charity Blooms and the Sugar Grove Public Library for being our service sites. 🌱

Leave your lunch at home and join us next Wednesday, April 19th, from 11 AM-1 PM in the Waubonsee Sugar Grove Campus Student Center Lobby & Cafe!

In three simple steps:

-Between 11 AM-1 PM, come to the Waubonsee Sugar Grove Campus Student Life Center Lobby & Cafe

-There will be a table set up with various bowls created by students in our ceramics department for purchase

-Once purchased, you will receive a free soup of your choice for your new bowl!

All proceeds will go to the Aurora inter-faith Food Pantry and mobile food pantry on campus!

Student Life hosted Big Pink last week in celebration of Women’s History Month! It continues to be a college-wide favorite. We can’t thank our students, faculty and staff enough for coming out to play and donating items to support Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry’s Women’s Mobile Empowerment Pantry!

Face-off against other Waubonsee students, faculty, and staff, all for a great cause! Big Pink is a philanthropic volleyball tournament played with a four-foot pink volleyball. 🏐

For entry, teams are asked to donate brand-new, unopened women’s hygiene items to be presented to Aurora InterFaith’s Women’s Mobile Empowerment Pantry. To ensure quality donations, we ask the minimum cost requirement be $30.

Ms. Pastan has recently published her sixteenth collection of poetry, Almost an Elegy: New and Later Selected Poems. She is coming to us tomorrow on Tuesday, December 6, to share her beautiful, moving, and exacting newer poems that explore mortality, grief, loss, love, and ageing. ✍️

Student Life wants to give a round of "a-paws" to Chester, the therapy dog, for visiting with our students yesterday! It was a great opportunity for our students to "unleash" finals stress. 🐶🐾
