We stayed outside until it got too dark to see! There is thunder in the distance and we are under a tornado watch until 2 a.m. Praying everything comes and goes peacefully.

Hello, friends!
We are back after last night's power outage and have read all the comments of encouragement about doing a fundraiser for a whole-house generator. While I would find that immensely useful when we lose power, it's really a few and far between situation when it happens. When we looked at them before, it was in the $10,000.00 range for the unit and installation and if I'm being honest, I would rather see that amount of money used in so many different ways. I can't imagine the security of knowing we had $10,000 resting behind our food or veterinary needs... We have a small generator that we used to keep a window AC unit and a fan going while we waiting on repairs and I just wore my little coal-miner headlamp around to see.
The only way I can imagine ever having the luxury of a Generac would be if it was donated directly from an HVAC company or if we hit the lottery. Mega Millions, come on!
But, for now, rest assured your donations are continuing to go to our most immediate needs and that is to directly feed, vet and care for this house of sugar faces.

Hey guys, Shelby again! We just wanted to let you guys know that we are without power, but we are okay, everybody is okay! Being without power obviously means no wifi so Kelli doesn't have a way to post to let everyone know all is good and we know you guys worry. Things get a little harder around here without power so just keep us in your thoughts and we'll be just fine!
