🏠HOME 51 UPDATE: WEEK 13 🏠

Our volunteers have been working hard, and Home 51 in Sister Bay has made a lot of progress!

They have completely finished putting up this beautiful blue siding, and will soon be able to begin working on the inside of the home after walls are painted and floors are installed. The drywall has already been taped, mudded, and plastered -- ready for painters.

It might be soon to think about Christmas, but if you're like anyone else, Christmas plans are already being made! What better way to kick of these holiday plans than a family-friendly Christmas concert by local musicians?

This winter, Door County Habitat for Humanity is excited to present a Christmas Benefit Concert with STEEM, “For Kids from 1 to 92” on Dec. 3 from 7-10 p.m.

STEEM is a soft-rock cover band from Wisconsin led by local musicians Steve March-Tormé and Michael Bailey. Just like its namesake, this family-friendly event is truly for kids from 1 to 92!

Enjoy some live music and holiday cheer, while also getting in the giving spirit by supporting Door Habitat. All proceeds go towards Habitat's mission of providing affordable housing and housing solutions, so you can kill two "turtle doves" with one stone!

Yesterday, we had our Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner at Ember at the Landmark! We loved being able to spoil our amazing volunteers:) Cheers to them!

Special thanks to Ember at the Landmark for allowing us to use your beautiful venue, Marketplace Foods for donating the balloons Pink Bakery for half off on their delicious cupcakes, T Simon Jewelers for donating the flowers, and Dollar Tree for giving us a discount on the flower vases!

Another home repair finished! Everyone loves a good makeover transformation, and this one is especially satisfying, thanks to our amazing volunteers! 💪⚒

Building houses is our thing at Habitat, but so is repair! We like to not only get people into a safe home, but we want to make sure people can stay in their homes.

One of our many services here at Door Habitat, the home repair program is for people who own their own home but cannot afford to make repairs.
