An amazing investment in the shipbuilding industry in Sturgeon Bay!

Many different types of jobs make up the manufacturing industry.

Jacob Moore, an estimator with N.E.W. Industries, shares: "I enjoy figuring out how a part will be made before it ever reaches the shop floor, from the machining and welding to the time and material it takes to get it right.

To anyone considering manufacturing, I'd say jump in! There's a career path for almost any interest, and you get to see the real, physical results of your work every day."

Stay tuned for more examples of careers in manufacturing as we continue to celebrate Manufacturing Month!

During Manufacturing Month, we'll share what employees enjoy most about working in the manufacturing industry.

Jason Peggar, Operations Manager at Itasca Systems, shares:

"I enjoy seeing real-life, everyday products and equipment that are being made every day in Door County, as manufacturing is not something that is typically closely associated with the area. For someone considering this field, I would highly encourage it because it offers a stable career with continuous opportunities to learn, grow, and solve new challenges."

Itasca Automation Systems, located in Egg Harbor, designs and manufactures precision automated machines for the coil winding industry.
