Sarah Rescue SARAH RESCUE had its beginnings when a senior epileptic beagle entered my life. And so it began, rescuing special needs animals.

This page is to update the conditon of the animals currently in SARAH RESCUE'S care and to help get the word out on other special needs animals that need rescue. The experience we have drawn over the years of dealing with dogs that get looked over and need a little bit more is that they blossom and grow in a loving, caring environment. We provide sustenance and medical care along with stability, dignity and love til their time here on earth is done.

This memory was from 8 years ago and this is my deaf dog Caleb who has been gone a long time.. I had him his whole life, from a puppy and he did me the honor of passing away in my arms. He came from VA (I only got him because he was deaf) and was spicy as hell (ask Sadie!) but he trusted and loved me. He was Jude's sidecar and they always hung together. They are never gone from my memory, all these beautiful souls that have made my life richer, my desire to continue to help stay steady. I thank God for rescue, without it life would be very flat. And thank you all for helping me to be able to continue this endeavor, it is my life purpose for sure. 🥰

Good morning. I wanted to give you both an Allie and Darcy update. Allie is doing amazing! With all this little one has been through she has enough fight to make it through whatever life throws her way. Thank you all for continuing to ask about her. And Darcy. She is doing so well also. If not for those malformed legs she was born with she is completely healthy. Once we remove those frozen forward limbs she will have the pressure taken off her back and lessen what her upper body has to move. We continue to sell tickets via venmo and surely look forward to our Fundraiser where we will Have Papa's Pizza (who else's pizza could we have?) soda, water and either Chocolate cake or Tira misu. Come by, say hi and cheer on the winners when we pull the tickets at 2:30.

As promised here are all the 37 baskets we have for our raffle to pay for Darcy's surgery in September. If you want to, wait for the event, if not, you can purchase tickets through venmo (just mention in the comments how many tickets and for which baskets and we will sign them for you). You do not have to be there to win, you will be notified by phone so include that. And thank you, every one, for every basket. So many beautiful prizes. Anyone who bought $20 worth of tickets will not have to pay the $10 for pizza! Come join us. If you did not buy that many tickets, we ask for a $10 donation if you want to have the pizza and cake which will go toward the cost of her surgery. There is no cost to show up that day! Lily had been doing a lot of licking and biting plus she didn't look right in her lady area 🥹 so we got another anatomy lesson today from Dr Brooks who informed us that the darkness is not bruising it is pigmentation and she has an inverted girl part. 🫣 He doesn't think it will impair her, certainly not now, but if it does corrective surgery can be done. She was a wreck, she doesn't travel well, so she was glad to be home in the yard with her peeps. We are happy it was nothing to worry about. We all had a good chuckle over the run of lady part problems with my pack. 🥲😊. Thank you Cheryl Doc and all the ladies at Snowflake Pet Center

Kevin has turned into a more relaxed older brother who enjoys clowning around and playing with the youngin's. We thought you'd enjoy some Monday horsing around. Once he sees the phone he stops but we catch him playing more often. This warms our heart because we still all miss our Ariel so much. The dogs have grieved the hardest as she was our core. 🥰🐾

We are gearing up for our Fundraiser for Darcy's surgery. I ask that any tag sale donations wait until the day after the fundraiser in case it rains. Then we will have it in the garage. Anyone who has or will but $20 worth of tickets can come have a piece of pizza and some cake and celebrate the life of Darcy on us. Her birthday is the day before so we think pizza and cake are appropriate! If you want to buy tickets before you can through venmo or paypal or the day of the event, please come by. All baskets are pictured in this post.

Yesterdays surgery was a blip on the screen for Allie as this morning the look says "feed me Mom" and I couldn't be happier to see it. Thanks for everyone helping me through what was not an easy Tuesday. Our girl still has plenty of life to live, and now she has one less problem. 🥰🐾
