From digging and planting to watering and exploring, our Early Head Start friends learned that with a little care, patience, and teamwork, amazing things can grow. We can't wait to watch our garden—and our children—continue to blossom! 🌼🌿

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Appleton 's Helen Thom Roemer Fund for supporting CAP's Active Calming Project with a generous grant.

These funds will help create an Active Calming Center at our New London Head Start Center—a dedicated sensory-responsive space where children can safely regulate their emotions and bodies. 💙

The Active Calming Center is especially important for supporting children with intellectual, developmental, or physical needs. Adaptive equipment and sensory tools will help promote greater independence, increase participation in learning activities, and create a more inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.🌟

We are grateful for this investment in the well-being and success of the children and families we serve. Thank you for making a difference! 🙌

One unique part of Head Start is Family Events! 💛

Head Start programs offer family events throughout the year to help build strong connections between families, children, and staff while creating fun learning experiences together. These events give families the opportunity to engage in their child’s education in meaningful and memorable ways!

Here’s a look at a recent family event from CDC! 🌱🎨 Families spent time painting flower pots and planting together. It was such a fun evening filled with creativity, smiles, and hands-on learning! 🪴💚

Head Start provides high-quality early childhood education for working families, helping children build a strong educational foundation while supporting parents in reaching their career goals and creating brighter futures for their families. ❤️

But when we asked kids in the Bonus Mini Mic Monday what their favorite thing about Head Start, 4K, and childcare is, their answers were a little simpler… and a lot more fun. 😄

Again and again, one answer came up: 🎨🧸 Playing!

From building friendships and exploring new ideas to learning through play, these little moments are what childhood is all about. 💛
