🏳️‍🌈 What a meaningful evening at the Authentic Identities Expo on September 30 at Mid-State Technical College!

We’re grateful to the community organizations and businesses who joined us with valuable information and resources for participants, and to our speaker for an engaging, interactive program that encouraged learning, reflection and connection.

A special thanks to Rockman’s Catering for providing the food and BoBabes Bubble Tea for the drinks that helped make the evening welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. 🧋

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors: Prevent Su***de Portage County, Bound to Happen Books and Charlie Health. Your support helped bring this community event to life.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the evening such a success! 💙

🌟60 Years of Impact: Turning Uncertainty into Direction

When one community member faced housing instability and the immediate risk of homelessness, he wasn’t sure where to turn or what resources were available.

That’s where CAP Services’ Community Resource Team (CRT) stepped in.

CRT staff listened to his situation, helped him understand his options, and provided guidance on the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program—including eligibility, the application process, and where to apply locally.

With clear information and support, he left with a better understanding of the resources available to him and a potential path toward more stable, affordable housing. 🏠

For 60 years, CAP Services has helped people navigate difficult moments by connecting them with the resources, information, and support they need to move forward.

And right now, your support can have twice the impact! Thanks to a generous $10,000 Challenge Match from the J. J. Keller Foundation, Inc., new or increased gifts made in honor of CAP’s 60th anniversary will be matched.

💙 Help us continue creating opportunities and strengthening our communities for the next 60 years.

💙 Stable Rates. Stronger Families.

We’re excited to share some great news for Portage County families about CAP’s Children’s Discovery Center (CDC)!

In response to the ongoing challenges families face with the cost of child care, CAP is freezing current CDC child care rates.

👶 Families who have a child currently enrolled at CDC will keep their current rate for as long as their child remains enrolled.
🌟 Families who enroll by December 31, 2026 will also receive the rate freeze for as long as their child remains enrolled.

The freeze covers current infant, toddler and preschool rates. Existing discounts and financial assistance will also continue.

Because when families have more stability, they have more room to grow, thrive and look ahead. 💙

Stable Rates. Stronger Families.
