Power Cross Ministry Through athletics & Christian discipleship, we are reshaping the future of our youth & communities. Jeff volunteered to coach his son’s basketball team.

Jeff Storment grew up in a home with a father who
struggled with drugs, alcohol, and anger. Often
the effects were destructive and eventually lead
to Jeff having a hole in his heart where a father’s
love should have been. Years later after Jeff was
married (wife-Natalie Moore) with a son of his
own, he found himself traveling down the same
path his father had taken. After experiencing
some v

ery difficult times, Jeff gave his life to the
Lord and began to make some major changes. Many of the players on the team were missing
practice. Coach Jeff would make them run,
but they were still missing practice time. The
boys finally told him that it wasn’t their fault they
were missing practice. They explained that there
was either no one at home to bring them, no
money for gas, or their family didn’t have a car. After a few practices, Jeff could see that many of
these boys needed more than just a ride. It was then that Jeff felt God’s calling for his
life. Following God’s direction Jeff and his wife
founded the Power Cross Ministry. Power Cross began as a small Bible study group
consisting of the Storment’s son T.J., and four
of his friends. Each week there would be another
boy waiting in the pick up line after school to see
if he could come to Power Cross. Currently,
Power Cross works with over 200 young men in
Statesville, NC and has seen more than 400 young
men take part in the program. In 2017, Power Cross expanded to serve Salisbury, NC with a 2nd campus for the ministry. If you would like to hear the complete

This Thursday is a special one for the Power Cross family! 🏈💙

Two of our alumni will take the field on opposite sidelines as Titus Myers and the Akron Zips take on Zamari Stevenson and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons!

We couldn’t be more proud of these two young men. We’ve had the privilege of watching Titus and Zamari grow, work, compete, and continue chasing their goals. Now, getting to see two Power Cross alumni face off at the college level is a moment worth celebrating!

We want to pack the stands with the Power Cross family and show these young men just how proud we are of them!

Everybody wants to succeed. But success doesn’t come from simply wanting it. It takes hard work, discipline, and showing up every day.

Whether it’s putting in work on the field or putting in work in the classroom, we want our young men to understand that nothing worth having comes easy.

Next Thursday is more than just a football game. 🏈

Two Power Cross alumni. Two college football programs. One field.

Zamari Stevenson of Wake Forest and Titus Myers of Akron will face off against each other in the Power Cross Alumni Battle!

Watching two young men who came through Power Cross work hard, reach the college level, and now have the opportunity to compete against one another is something truly special. This is what it’s all about.

We’re proud of both of these young men and everything they’ve accomplished. Now we get the chance to come together, celebrate them, and watch them compete!
