Kindness takes the stage, and we’re taking it into our community!

Inspired by the generosity at the heart of Come From Away, our cast and crew are collecting supplies for Starkville Strong and the Oktibbeha County Humane Society. Help us pay it forward by donating items from the wish lists pictured here!

In addition to the drop-off times listed on the flyer, we’ll be at the Community Market Saturday from 8–11 a.m. and can accept donations there as well!

DEADLINE IS TODAY!

SCT is now accepting proposals for a competition show that will represent our theatre in competition at the Mississippi Theatre Association festival in January 2027.

A few important things to keep in mind when choosing a show:

• You must be an eligible director to apply. An eligible director includes someone who has directed a SCT production to completion at Starkville Community Theatre.

• The festival performance can only be 60 minutes total, including scene changes and all technical cues. If you’re proposing a full-length show, you’ll need to have your proposed cuts approved by the publisher/rights holder before the show can be selected.

• The set needs to be able to go up in 10 minutes and come down in 10 minutes (this is outside of the above 60 minutes). Everything must also fit within a 10' x 10' backstage "box" before and after the performance.

We’ve created a special window display at SCT on Main Street and invite you to stop by, reflect, and share your story. Your memories may even be featured on our social media as we honor the stories and moments of that time.

Our friends down the road are doing some theatre this weekend! Go check them out!

Have you purchased your tickets for Exit Laughing? Performances will be Thursday, October 1 @ 6:30, Friday, October 2 @ 6:30, Saturday, October 3 @ 6:30 and Sunday, October 4 @ 2:00pm. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance and it is general admission. Hope to see you there!

This support means so much to our theatre. It helps us continue creating productions that bring people together, give local artists a place to share their talents, and make theatre part of life in Starkville.
