Looking at some dates for doing a workday/days at JL King to start clearing the trail corridor on the new trail.
December 13 or 14th
December 20-21
December 26-28th
If you are interested in working any of those dates, let me know. I'm planning to rent a miniexcavator during the week of Christmas to New year's, but there is a bunch of clearing and then hand finishing work to do during that. If anyone is interested in helping, let me know.

In January I'd like to set up a work day at the Nox for some long term maintenance projects at some of the creek crossings, plus general maintenance. Maybe the weekend of January 10-11th or the 17th-18th. Let me know if you can help with that, or there are better dates.

Regarding what the money is going to support, we have constructed 2 miles of trail at JL King park and plan to construct 2 more miles in the next year. We have raised enough cash for a one week equipment rental (mainly due to one generous donation) but ideally we would rent for a longer period. If you have the cash to support what we're doing, please consider donating.

The City of Starkville is stepping up to support us with some material and logistical support where they can spare it, so please thank them.

Hey y'all,

We have relaunched the club membership online sign up using Cheddarup. There are different levels of membership including regular membership, family, student, and for those who are already TCMBA members. The funds will go towards general club events/overhead, cycling advocacy opportunities as they arise, trail maintenance and construction, and any opportunities that benefit our community.
At the link, you will also notice an option to additionally donate to trail construction. I am trying to raise money to rent equipment to construct another 2 mile segment of trail at JL King park this winter. Ideally we would rent an excavator for a month for around $2,000 over the holidays and into January. We also have some upcoming maintenance work that will be needed at the Nox that will require support, including regular maintenance and some creek crossings that require repair.
