Community collaboration is what made the first Make-A-Wish wish possible for 7 year old Chris Greicius who was battling leukemia in 1980. 46 years later communities throughout the United States are still coming together to raise funds for local Make-A-Wish America chapters so that critically ill children can get a much needed heartfelt wish. Friday June 12 (police es**rted cruise night) and Saturday June 13 will be the 11th annual Thunder On the Plains Car, Truck and Cycle Show in Hays Kansas to benefit Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas. Like Ride For Wishes, This car show was founded by 'a group of local automotive enthusiasts and volunteers.' Good luck Thunder On the Plains car aficionados. Then 500 miles to the east is the 18th annual Ride for Wishes benefitting the kids of Make-A-Wish at St. Charles Harley-Davidson and Big St. Charles Motorsports . Sunday October 11 kickstands up and leaving St. Charles Harley-Davidson with a police es**rt leading the way at 12! MoDOT - St. Louis & the St. Charles County Police Department have planned a fantastic route. Return to lunch provided by Shamrocks Pub and Grill for all registered riders. PLEASE PREREGISTER at St Charles Harley Davidson Saturday October 10 10a-4p if possible. Registration on Sunday October 11 10-11:30. Daniel’s wish to meet his hero, Xavier Worthy, became a reality and it was even more special than he imagined! Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas, Make-A-Wish East Tennessee & the The Kansas City Chiefs coordinated to make Daniel's wish a reality.

Daniel and Xavier spent quality time together at The University of Kansas Health System training complex playing video games, sharing laughs, and creating memories Daniel will never forget. What makes this wish even more meaningful is the incredible full-circle connection behind it…

In 2024, wish kid Justin had the honor of announcing The Kansas City Chiefs first-round NFL Draft pick, helping introduce Xavier Worthy to Chiefs Kingdom and marking the beginning of his NFL journey.
Now, Xavier is giving back by helping grant wishes for children like Daniel, who have cheered him on from the very start. ✨💫
Thank you to the Kansas City Chiefs, Xavier Worthy, and Fanatics for making moments like these possible and helping bring hope & joy to children fighting a critical illness!

Wish kid Betty’s magical Walt Disney World adventure was everything she dreamed of and more. From meeting her favorite princesses to making unforgettable memories alongside her family, every moment was filled with joy, wonder, and magic! Betty lit up as she met Tiana, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and of course, Mickey and Minnie Mouse... At Give Kids The World Village Betty got to meet Mayor Clayton & Ms Merry and got unlimited ice cream and nightly cookie deliveries, all creating moments she’ll cherish forever. Hello riders. Today April 29 is World Wish Day! Make-A-Wish dedicates this day to the kids who inspire us all. In “Drawn to You,” a new Make-A-Wish America x Disney brand spot, Maddie's everyday drawings reveal her most heartfelt wish, to go to Walt Disney World.

The campaign features a new brand spot, "Drawn to You," highlighting Maddie's artistic journey, and celebrates Disney 's role as the largest wish granter, with a wish granted every hour. - & riders, you can make these wishes come true. A wish provides critical emotional, psychological, and physical benefits to children with life-threatening illnesses. It acts as a powerful tool to restore hope, increase strength and resilience, and provide a much-needed break from the fear and loneliness associated with trauma of treatment. As Volunteer Appreciation Week winds down, wish dad Keir explains the lasting impact Brooke’s wish to go to Walt Disney World & Give Kids The World Village had on their entire family. Because of dedicated volunteers, moments of joy, hope and togetherness became memories they will cherish forever.

Behind every wish is a community of compassionate volunteer WishMakers making hope possible. “I would say thank you from the bottom of my heart, we are so deeply appreciative of what all of the donors and volunteers did for my child,” shared Keir. “Thank you, volunteers and supporters, from the bottom of my heart.” To every volunteer WishMaker who gives their time and heart to our mission: thank YOU for helping make wishes come true.

'The most powerful wishes bring joy, hope, and unforgettable moments.' ✨Hello Riders. 6-year-old Will from Mission, Kansas is a bright, happy boy who loves playing outside and listening to music. Born with congenital heart disease, Will has faced a long and challenging medical journey with incredible strength.
His wish was simple and meaningful: uninterrupted quality time with the people he loves most at the happiest place on Earth. 🏰Will and his family traveled to Walt Disney World & Universal Orlando Resort, where they stayed at Give Kids The World Village. Will and his family met favorite characters, and made memories they will treasure forever. For Will, this wish was more than a trip...it was a chance to pause, celebrate his resilience, and just be a kid. 💙 Because of WishMakers like YOU, life-changing wishes like Will’s come true. ✨
