Community collaboration is what made the first Make-A-Wish wish possible for 7 year old Chris Greicius who was battling leukemia in 1980. 46 years later communities throughout the United States are still coming together to raise funds for local Make-A-Wish America chapters so that critically ill children can get a much needed heartfelt wish. Friday June 12 (police es**rted cruise night) and Saturday June 13 will be the 11th annual Thunder On the Plains Car, Truck and Cycle Show in Hays Kansas to benefit Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas. Like Ride For Wishes, This car show was founded by 'a group of local automotive enthusiasts and volunteers.' Good luck Thunder On the Plains car aficionados. Then 500 miles to the east is the 18th annual Ride for Wishes benefitting the kids of Make-A-Wish at St. Charles Harley-Davidson and Big St. Charles Motorsports . Sunday October 11 kickstands up and leaving St. Charles Harley-Davidson with a police es**rt leading the way at 12! MoDOT - St. Louis & the St. Charles County Police Department have planned a fantastic route. Return to lunch provided by Shamrocks Pub and Grill for all registered riders. PLEASE PREREGISTER at St Charles Harley Davidson Saturday October 10 10a-4p if possible. Registration on Sunday October 11 10-11:30. ALL registered riders, whether you actually ride in the ride or not will get a FREE lunch.
