St. Louis Sigmas Revitalization of a historic community center is about more than restoring a building β itβs about restoring connection, culture, and opportunity for generations to come. ποΈβ¨
This space has witnessed decades of stories, celebrations, and community milestones. Now, itβs being reimagined as a vibrant hub where history meets the future β creating room for education, creativity, wellness, and togetherness.
Culture for Service, Service for Humanity.
The Sigma Legacy Foundation, the local charitable arm of the historically Black Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, acquired the George Washington Carver House in 2016. It will use the $600,000 grant to reopen part of the building as a community center.
