Amici Italian Restaurant announces a possible closure at the end of the month:
This is the hardest thing I've ever had to write. I apologize for so many words.
A little over 6 years ago, on March 11, 2020, we took over Amici. A few days later the world shut down. What followed was a journey none of us could have imagined.
Through a pandemic, almost every piece of equipment breaking our first 3 months, labor shortages, rising costs, hurricanes, sleepless nights, let's not even open up the can of worms we got into in 2025 and every challenge imaginable, WE FOUGHT. We fought because we believed in this place. We fought because we believed in our staff. Most importantly, we fought because we believe in this community.
Unfortunately it appears that our journey here is coming to an end.
While there is still a hail Mary chance a buyer could step forward and keep the story going, we have reached a point where as heartbreaking as it is... we must prepare for the possibility that Amici will close its doors by the end of this month.
Before anything else, we wanted to give our team the respect they deserve. Our staff are not just employees to us. They are family. We have spent more time with them than our own families.
We have given them notice, we are helping them find new opportunities, and doing everything we can to make sure they land on their feet.
To our staff, past and present... anyone who has spent time helping us at Amici, thank you. Thank you for believing in us, standing beside us, and giving your hearts to this restaurant.
To our beloved guests, thank you for every meal shared, every celebration hosted, every kind word, every recommendation, every review, every laugh, and every memory made within these walls. Such as...
Birthdays, Surprise parties, Weddings, receptions, Celebration of life, Date nights, Anniversary's, Baby showers, Proposals, murder mystery dinners, comedy nights, rave parties, live music, ladies night strip show, chefs tasting dinners, pasta making classes, charity events, sports award banquets, school graduation parties, holidays (even Christmas and Thanksgiving) and much more...
You all gave this place life.
If these truly are our final days, we hope you'll come visit us ONE MORE TIME. Share a meal. Tell a story. Raise a glass. Help us celebrate what Amici has meant to so many people.
No matter what happens next, please know this:
You helped create something beautiful.
Something that holds a piece of our hearts forever.
And for that, we will be forever grateful.
