Friends of Transit After successfully organizing for night bus service, advocates came together to promote an equitable transportation system for all in Springfield.

Friends of Transit strives to do that through advocacy, organizing, and community outreach.

Ride with SMTD to the Illinois State Fair in our cool climate controlled vehicle.
SMTD stops over 500 at the Main Gate (11th and Sangamon) August 8-17.
Avoid the traffic and parking hassles, arriving stress free for a day of fun!
Only $1.25 per ride or $3.00 for an unlimited all day pass.
