UPDATE SAT 11:15 AM: Crews have restored power to a number of additional outage areas. There are currently 514 customers without power across approximately 22 locations.

Weather Ready
CWLP continues to monitor forecasts from the National Weather Service, which indicate severe storms may again impact central Illinois on Saturday. Damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph are the primary concern, with isolated large hail also possible.
Customers are encouraged to remain weather aware and ensure they have multiple ways to receive emergency weather alerts. Storm preparedness and outage safety information can be found on CWLP's website.

In addition to electric crew deployment, CWLP's Electric Operations Division remains fully staffed at Dispatch at 217-789-2121.
UPDATE SAT 6 AM: (next update with more detail after 9 AM) We have outages down to 671 customers in approximately 34 locations. The safety of our crews and public will be in mind as again, the US National Weather Service Central Illinois is saying severe storms are possible across central and southeast Illinois Saturday. Damaging wind gusts to around 60 mph is the primary hazard, but isolated large hail over an inch will be possible possible. Stay weather aware and ensure you have multiple ways to receive warnings. Thus far, we remain fully transitioned from working on the larger circuits outages to working as quickly and safely as we can addressing the last pockets of small group outages. Thank you for your patience with our crews and staff in working to restore power to you. Restoring service to the city as quickly and safely as possible remains our top priority. We have fully transitioned from working on the larger circuits outages and are now down to addressing the last pockets of small group outages. UPDATE 7:30 PM: Customer outages are down to 1,176 customers in 44 locations. Crews will continue working through the night to restore service as quickly and safely as possible to all customers. Our Electric Operations Division is fully staffed and they continue to review outage and damage reports received through Dispatch at 217-789-2121 to ensure no trouble overlooked.

UPDATE 11:15 AM: Customer outages are down to 2,033 customers. CWLP and contract crews are assigned around the City where poles are being replaced, limbs are being cleared and electric repairs are being completed to get power restored to all customers as quickly and safely as possible.

UPDATE 5 AM: Follow our outage updates here for work and progress beginning Friday, June 12.
Thursday night there were over 11,000 customers without power across 64 outage areas. Damage assessments found multiple snapped poles, and widespread tree and limb damage throughout the system. Working through the night, crews had customer outages down to 7,800 by 2:30 a.m., 5,600 by 4 a.m., and 4,600 by 5 a.m. With 13 distribution feeders out, crews have restored 10 of those.

-911 in Outer Park Drive and E Ash area (should be picked up soon)
-223 Madison St. area near Duncan Park
-180 Indian Hills (Awaiting Ameren crews to return Friday morning)

With all available resources, including CWLP crews in the field from Electric Operations Troubleshooters, Construction, Substations, Relay, Traffic, Communications, and other support divisions, progress had been made but more work is to be done until all customers are restored power.
Staff are reviewing outage and damage reports received through Dispatch at 217-789-2121 to ensure no reported issues are overlooked. If you have already reported your outage, you do not need to call back and leave another message.
