Friendly reminder the Lake Springfield Triathlon is Saturday, July 25th.
Lindsay Bridge Boat launch & Sailboat Launch will be CLOSED Thursday, July 23rd at 11 p.m. through Saturday, July 25th
Other Saturday, July 25th Closures:
• Lindsay Bridge from 6:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Long Bay Drive and East Lake Drive, 6 a.m. to noon
• West Lake Drive and Shepherd Road, 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• West Lake Drive and DAV, 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• East Lake Drive and Pawnee Road, 7:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
• Pawnee Road and New City Road, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• New City Road and Cardinal Hill Road, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Note Some Closures During This Saturday's Lake Springfield Triathlon

The annual Lake Springfield Triathlon is being held on Saturday, July 25th. To accommodate races, the Lindsay Bridge boat docks and parking area at Lake Springfield will be closed to the public beginning Thursday, July 23rd at 11 p.m. through Saturday, July 25th at approximately 5 p.m. Center Park, North Park, and the Sailboat Launch will also be closed during this time period. Access to Henson Robinson Zoo will be open from the north via Lake Park Road and from the south via Long Bay Lane. The Lindsay Boat Licensing station will reopen to boat traffic around 10 a.m. on Saturday.

During the running and biking legs of the race on Saturday, portions of roads will be closed periodically as follows with approximate times:
• Lindsay Bridge from 6:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Long Bay Drive and East Lake Drive, 6 a.m. to noon
• West Lake Drive and Shepherd Road, 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• West Lake Drive and DAV, 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• East Lake Drive and Pawnee Road, 7:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
• Pawnee Road and New City Road, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• New City Road and Cardinal Hill Road, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Law enforcement will be stationed at some of these areas to provide alternate routes to motorists. America's 250th Birthday Boat Parade was a success with 21 boats.

Tied for Patriotic Theme:
Boat # 8 (Kelly Greeley/Neville Patkus) and 16(Mark and Diane Sembell)

Tied for Originality and Creativity:
Boat # 8 (Kelly Greeley/Neville Patkus) and 16(Mark and Diane Sembell)

Total Score:
Boat # 8 (Kelly Greeley/Neville Patkus) and 16(Mark and Diane Sembell)

Boat 8 and 16 each get (2) $30 gift cards to Lake Springfield Marina

2nd place runner up:
Boat # 11 (Wheat) - red cooler

3rd runner up:
Boat # 3 (Fox)- patriotic 250 flag
Lorinda won boat count without going over. She guessed 20 boats. We judged 21 boats. $25 gift card to Scheel’s.

Who's ready for the Boat Parade?
We're excited to celebrate America's 250th Birthday together with a Boat Parade on Sunday, July 5th!
Schedule of Events
• 11:00 AM – Cocktail Contest at Anchor (judged on appearance, garnish, and taste)
• 11:30 AM – Stage Program in front of Anchor Boat Club
• 12:00 PM – Boat Parade Begins
• Around 1:30 PM – Parade concludes at Lincoln Memorial Gardens
• Until 3:00 PM – Tie up for fellowship, fun, and friends!
Show off your patriotic spirit by decorating your boat in red, white, and blue as we celebrate 250 Years of Freedom! The more festive, the better!

Don't have a decorated boat? No problem, all boats are welcome to join the parade!
