🚨 We’re just 4 HERD members away from our next milestone on the Road to 100! 🚨

35 monthly donors may sound like a number… but to us, it means more horses cared for, more volunteers equipped, and more children and families supported through the programs at Autumn Trails Stable. ❤️

The HERD is made up of people who believe small monthly gifts can create BIG impact over time. Whether it’s $10, $25, or more each month, every member helps provide consistency and stability for the horses and humans who rely on this place.

Will you help us reach 35? 🐴

Join The HERD today and become part of something that changes lives month after month.

Happy 💚

Today, we are celebrating and thanking the Community Health Foundation for their generous support of our Bridging Hearts & Horses program at Autumn Trails Stable.

Because of their investment, we are able to continue providing meaningful equine-assisted services that help children with complex childhood trauma build trust, confidence, emotional regulation, communication skills, and healthy connections through the powerful partnership between mentors and horses.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like the Community Health Foundation who believe in strengthening the well-being of children, families, and our community through innovative and compassionate programs.

Thank you for helping us create a place where healing, growth, and connection can happen one relationship at a time. 🐴💚

As summer approaches, we thought this was a great post by the American Association of Equine Practitioners to share for ! Have you noticed Beetle’s fly mask has an extra piece on it??? He has a white muzzle and it burns easily, so we keep it protected!

“As the temperatures rise and the sun stays out longer, make sure your equine friends are adequately protected from harmful UV rays. ☀️

Hot summer weather puts horses at risk not only for dehydration and heat stress but also the skin damage and discomfort that accompany a sunburn— just like humans.

A lot of equestrians love some chrome on a horse, but it's important to remember that those beautiful white markings and the non-pigmented pink skin underneath are more likely to suffer from sunburn, especially in areas where the skin is more sensitive — like around the eyes and the nostrils.

In addition to the pain and discomfort, horses that are prone to recurrent sunburn may also face other long-term consequences, like the increased likelihood of developing squamous cell carcinoma (a common cancer).

If your horse is susceptible to sunburn, contact your veterinarian for more information about sun damage and recommendations to keep your equine protected this summer.”

We wrapped up our Tuesday spring session lessons this week with sunshine, smiles, and just enough rain dodging to keep things interesting 💙🐴🌦️

Our riders finished the session strong while working on their 2-point position, balance, and coordination all while having fun in the saddle. It was the perfect way to celebrate all the progress, confidence, and hard work we’ve seen throughout the spring session.

We are so proud of each rider and grateful for the volunteers, horses, and families who make these moments possible. Here’s to a wonderful summer ahead at the barn!
