Last night, our crews trained on CareFlight operations and landing zones, with CareFlight landing behind the station. This training helps us prepare to safely coordinate helicopter landings at emergency scenes.

Thank you to Premier Health CareFlight Air and Mobile Services for taking the time to train with us!

We encourage everyone to attend Tremont City’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony tomorrow as we come together to honor and remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001.

EVENT CANCELED

Inclement weather has interfered with the scheduled events for today in Tremont, but our appreciation of the first responders who exemplified honor and courage during one of the darkest moments for our nation, stands firm.

And thank you to everyone who contributed and committed to what would have otherwise been a memorable event.

Today, join our nation in remembering the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the families who still carry their loss.

May we never forget those we lost, those who answered the call, and the unity our nation showed in the days that followed.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. 9.11.2001 🇺🇸

🚒 MUTUAL AID | PREBLE COUNTY

Yesterday, Pike Township Fire & Rescue responded with a tanker to Preble County to assist crews operating at a large barn fire near New Paris. Our crew traveled approximately an hour to the scene to assist with water supply operations.

Mutual aid doesn’t always mean helping the department next door. Sometimes, it means traveling a little farther to get resources where they’re needed most. While responding this far outside of our normal area isn’t something we do often, we believe in providing available resources when we can safely do so.

Large incidents can require significant amounts of water, equipment, and/or manpower. No single department can prepare for every situation alone, which is why cooperation between fire departments—both near and far—is so important.

As another Clark County Fair comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who helped make it a safe and successful week.

Throughout the fair, Pike Township Fire & Rescue was proud to provide emergency coverage at several grandstand events. Our crews staffed an engine and grass truck at the Demolition Derby, ATV Drags, and Truck Drags, while a medic unit was on standby during the Rodeo.

Supporting our community means more than responding when emergencies happen—it’s about being there for the events that bring people together. We are proud to serve our community and appreciate the opportunity to help keep one of Clark County’s greatest traditions safe for everyone.

Congratulations to all of this year’s exhibitors on the hard work, dedication, and countless hours you invested leading up to and throughout the fair. Your commitment is what makes the Clark County Fair such a special tradition.
