At today's meeting, we had the pleasure of hearing from one of our own! Fellow Rotarian Leslie Forrester, Executive Director of the Springfield Regional Arts Council, shared This Place We Make: A Creative Roadmap for the Ozarks. 🎨
Developed through community surveys, focus groups, and collaboration with local stakeholders, this 10-year cultural plan outlines a shared vision for strengthening arts and culture throughout our region.
The plan focuses on three key goals:
🎨 Expanding community engagement in arts and culture.
🎭 Supporting and strengthening our region's artists and creative organizations.
🏛️ Building sustainable resources, spaces, and systems to support the arts for years to come.
From increasing access to creative experiences to supporting economic development and bringing communities together, the Springfield Regional Cultural Plan demonstrates how arts and culture contribute to making the Ozarks an even better place to live, work, and play.
Thank you, Leslie, for sharing this exciting vision and reminding us that building a thriving community takes all of us!
💙 "This is the place we make it. Let's build it together."
