Founding father of Gun's & Hose's charity event for fallen or injured first responders and their families. My name is Mike, I started Martorelli Legacy Boxing to honor my cousin Jack Martorelli, who mentored me in my boxing career that started at age 12. I have always loved both the physical and mental benefits of this sport. After over 30 years of service in the military, I decided to use the exp
erience I've gained to help others interested in boxing. I am certified through USA Boxing. Mission Statement:
“To encourage and assist low-income and high-risk juveniles with life ready skills through boxing therapy programs to better themselves and the community. Promotes confidence, self-respect, respect for others, and team building skills in a multicultural environment”. MLB initiates, supports, and enhances community programs through targeted initiatives in community, arts, education, mental, and physical health in the state of Missouri. MLB is a mentoring program that uses boxing to draw in youth to have positive impact in their lives. Boxing is a sport that notoriously brings in youth who are otherwise hard to reach. The MLB program targets at-risk youth (broken families, history of drug abuse, currently or formerly on probation) in order to mentor them, build character, and instill values. Through the sport of boxing, our youth are mentored in all areas of their lives, including home life, relationships, school, work, and college. Boxing is a common ground we use to relate to youth on a deeper level. Donations are tax deductible. As a new Corporation equipment is needed.
