This month is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and we want to empower survivors in their experiences. A safe, supportive presence can make all the difference in helping someone feel seen, believed, and not alone in their story.
Be the person who listens without judgment, believes without hesitation, and shows up with compassion.
đź’ś This week, check in on someone.
đź’ś Educate yourself on how to support survivors.
Our center is always available for support with our 247 hotline at 800-794-4175.

💜✨Wise Words Wednesday💜✨Strength doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it can look like asking for help, setting boundaries, or simply choosing to keep going when healing feels difficult. If you are a survivor, your story is not defined by what happened to you; it is defined by the courage it takes to move forward one step at a time.
If this speaks to you, share it to encourage someone who may need hope today. And if you or someone you know needs support, reach out to our center. Because you are not alone, and healing is possible. 💜✨

There are survivors at the center of the Epstein files, but we see media focused on the rich and powerful perpetrators (who continue to be shielded by institutions that are meant to restore justice).

Here, in your local NWA community, there are survivors affected by the constant news and responses from their family and friends on social media. How you speak about survivors in the Epstein files matters to the survivors in your life.

If you are a survivor of sexual assault who is struggling right now, you are not alone. We are here for you. Call our office to get started 479-347-2304 or if you have an emergency our 24/7 crisis line is available 800-794-4175.

If you are looking for ways to stand up for survivors of sexual assault in the midst of the Epstein Files frenzy, consider donating to or volunteering with your local r**e crisis center (hint: that's us!).

And if you want to add to the conversation about the Epstein Files in a way that restores healing and hope to survivors in your home community, share this post. Help us reach more survivors who may not know that we offer FREE counseling services (no matter when your assault took place). Help us share that we have a FREE 24/7 crisis hotline and can perform FREE emergency exams in our center instead of in the emergency room. Help us find survivors in need of an advocate or a FREE art workshop.

Our hearts are with all survivors of sexual assault and especially with every survivor who has been impacted by the ongoing activity around the Epstein files.

Our 24/7 phone line is always available if you are seeking survivor-centered, trauma-informed support: 800-794-4175

“I am at Peace with God and All Mankind.”
I hope these words are able to help Survivors find the same peace that Harriet did. All Survivors deserve to feel at peace with the world, but it can be a long road to get there. We’re here to help you on that path.

Want to offer your support to Survivors? We have Volunteer opportunities for you. Visit our website to apply. https://www.nwasexualassault.org/volunteer

Today we spotlight Mary McLeod Bethune, a notable and remarkable woman who navigated post-Civil War America. Mary held her faith very dearly to her, and pursued equality and education for all, becoming an Educator, Humanitarian, Womanist, and Civil Rights Activist. She was so well renowned that she was appointed by the 32nd President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, to lead the National Youth Association, a federal organization designed to help provide work for low income and struggling families during the Great Depression. Thank you, Mary, for your hard work and your legacy. ❤️

Day 21 of 21 Days of Prayer for Survivors đź’ś
Healing is not a finish line—it’s an ongoing process that deserves patience, care, and community. Today, we affirm that survivors don’t have to walk this journey alone. Together, we support healing through listening, advocacy, and accessible care.
Our 24-hour confidential hotline is always available at 800-794-4175, and we also offer free counseling services to support survivors at every stage of healing. Support is here, whenever you’re ready.
From the Advocate: Thank you for participating in this 21 Days of Prayer for Survivors. This was done to bring the lives and challenges of Survivors in our community into our everyday lives and mindsets. As a community, we can come together to care for our Survivors, and give them the support that they need. From myself and everyone here at the Center, thank you for your time and participation. - Angie, Grace for Survivors Advocate.

Day 20 of 21 Days of Prayer for Survivors đź’ś
Healing is deeply personal, and every choice along that path belongs to the survivor. Today, we affirm autonomy, consent, and the right to define healing on your own terms—without pressure, expectation, or comparison. Your journey is yours.
We’re here for you, in whatever way you need us to be. From Counseling, to Advocacy, to Forensic care.
