Boys to Men Mentoring Network

Our mission is to create communities of empowerment for the teenage boys of San Diego County.

Boys to Men is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation created to guide boys on their journey to manhood through group mentoring. Through weekly in-school and after-school groups, our trained volunteer and staff mentors and group facilitators are helping the fatherless and at-risk teenage boys in our program become responsible men. Our program also includes Adventure Weekends for the boys, which are th

e next level of a boy's transformation into manhood, as well as Reclaiming Your Teenage Fire (RTF) training for our mentors.

The boys in the B2M program at Roosevelt Middle School recently visited the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center — a world-class facility where Team USA athletes train for Olympic and Paralympic competition. 🇺🇸

The trip gave the boys a firsthand look at the discipline, dedication, and hard work it takes to compete at the highest level, while inspiring them to pursue greatness in their own lives. Thank you to the staff for an awesome afternoon. 💙

Mentor Spotlight: John Kenny 👏

For the second year, John Kenny has served as a co-facilitator for the boys at Avela Oaks and Diegueño Middle Schools through Boys to Men Mentoring, showing up consistently to support and guide young men in our community.

To celebrate the boys’ hard work and growth this year, John treated the group to a fun day at K1 Speed 🏁 — recognizing them for stepping up and becoming the men they are capable of being.

🤝 Community Partner Spotlight: Just in Time for Foster Youth 🫶

Boys to Men Mentoring was proud to attend the Igniting Hope Building Community Fair, hosted by Just in Time for Foster Youth, and connect with organizations committed to supporting youth, families, and transition-age foster youth throughout San Diego County.

The fair brought together community partners, resources, and services designed to help young people build stable, successful futures. As an organization dedicated to helping boys and young men navigate life’s challenges through mentoring and community, Boys to Men was honored to be part of an event focused on connection, opportunity, and hope.

🎉 Boys to Men Mentoring’s 4th annual Rooted in Resiliency Gala brought together an incredible community to celebrate 30 years of impact—and the result was nothing short of inspiring.

Together, we raised an amazing $564,000, making this our most successful gala to date. Because of this generosity, we’re able to expand our reach, strengthen our programs, and launch new opportunities like the Journeymen Academy—all in support of our mission: to empower boys to follow their dreams.
