Larry's Herd

Larry's Herd Leasers lease one horse and are required to feed and clean all 12 stalls once a week on a designated day.

Leasers may ride when they want, but Larry owns all his horses so has ultimate say. Leasers are also supposed to participate in the very fun class program. Classes are ran out of Cuyamaca Community College and instructed by long time lease, Serena Boyd. Larry Willens taught the classes for many years before he decided to retire and focus more on coaching tennis.

Another sad day for our group. Cisco was put to rest this morning. We will forever remember this quirky horse, perhaps not for his sweetness, but for his amazing bond with his rider and for his ears which were always flat back . . . Good Bye Cisco!

Sad day for Larry's herd- just had to put Tablet to rest. She was an amazing horse who gave us nearly 30 years- which is an amazing life for an ex-race horse who gave birth to nearly a dozen babies. Our thoughts are with Dana and we will remember Tablet for many years to come.
