Rehearsals for the Southington Symphonic Band's fall concert have started and we could use a few more trombones and some percussion/mallet/keyboard players. If you know of anyone who plays these instruments and may be interested, please let them know.

Rehearsals for this group, which is conducted by Jeff Shaw, are on Mondays from 7-9 pm in the Kennedy Middle School band room.

If you have questions or want to join the Southington Symphonic Band then SHS students should talk to Mrs. Ossias and adults should reach out to the band secretary, at [email protected]. 🥁

Rehearsals for the Southington Symphonic Band's fall concert will start on 9/14/26 and continue on Mondays from 7-9 pm in the Kennedy Middle School band room (not at SHS). The link to the fall music was emailed out to band members earlier this week.

Adults and teens who play a band instrument are welcome in this group which is conducted by Jeff Shaw. Depending on who returns for the fall concert, we will likely be looking for clarinets and double reeds (oboe and bassoon), saxophones (1 alto and 1 tenor), French horns, a few trombones and perhaps some percussion/mallet/keyboard players. The trumpet and flute sections are likely full.
If you didn't get the email, have questions or want to join the Southington Symphonic Band then SHS students should talk to Mrs. Ossias and everyone else should reach out to the band secretary, at [email protected].
See you on Monday!
