The First Congregational Church of Southington appreciates the loving messages from Foundacion Sor Dominga Bocca as we mourn the loss of Gordon Ellis. We know you grieve along with us. Pastor Gordon cared deeply for the girls of FSDB and for all those who support them. We are touched by the donations being made to the Foundation in Gordon’s memory.

Exciting news!!!! Thanks to our generous donors, Fundación Sor Dominga Bocca was able to replace its old, dangerous gas stove with a brand new one. The first two pictures are the old stove, the second two are the new stove. The directors of the foundation have asked me to thank everyone for making this possible!!!!

Southington is home to Winifred House, a Short-Term Assessment & Respite home for teenage girls who are in crisis. To show our support for the residents, members of Southington Women for Progress held a supply drive, and were able to donate over 200 items, including books, toiletries, hair products, personal clothing items, and backpacks. We are looking for longer-term ways to support the girls during their time of transition. Please join us!

Members who donated include Heather Carreiro, Kristin Bontempi, Jolene Morin Miceli, Dagmara Scalise, Marlene Marzano Silano, Jennifer BlessingMiceli, Mary MacDonnelland the drive was coordinated by Cheryl Hilton.
