☀️ 🌺 The Barnes Museum’s first walking tour of the year is right around the corner! This is a great opportunity for a short and charming walk around beautiful downtown Southington, with some history, too!

Join the Barnes Museum in partnership with Preservation Connecticut for a special Jane’s Walk, part of an international movement inspired by urbanist and preservationist Jane Jacobs (1916-2006), who championed walkable communities and the stories found in the everyday places we engage with.

Following the walk, guests are invited to enjoy a self-guided tour of the first floor of the Barnes Museum.

No registration required.
A $10 suggested donation to support the Barnes Museum is appreciated.

For questions, please call 860-628-5426 or email us at [email protected] we hope you’ll join us!

We’re having our new member meeting at Southington Public Library on Monday April 6th at 5:30pm in the community room!

Our organization’s president had this to say to the Southington Outsider: “I would like to find people who love Southington and have a special skill that they are willing to apply to The Barnes Museum.”

Being present in your community and volunteering is a great way to show love for our town and what makes it special. See you soon!

Back in 2015, Chris Iverson was an Eagle Scout looking for a service project. Told to contact the Barnes Museum, he went on a tour of the grounds with the curator at the time, Marie Secondo.
