🏀 Fall Youth Basketball is coming to the Downriver Family YMCA!

Get ready for an exciting Fall 2026 Intra-Y Basketball League where young athletes can build basketball skills, grow in confidence, make new friends, and experience the excitement of being part of a team.

This season, players will represent the Downriver Family YMCA and compete in a Saturday travel basketball league with games hosted at different YMCA branches throughout the season. 🚗🏀

📅 Season: October 12–December 19
🏀 Practices begin: Week of October 12
🎮 Games begin: Saturday, October 24
🚗 Travel League: Saturday games at YMCA branches throughout the area

Today is officially the LAST DAY OF CAMP! 🥹🏕️

What a summer it has been! From field trips and swimming to games, crafts, new friendships, big laughs, and unforgettable memories, our campers made Summer Camp 2026 one for the books.

To our campers: Thank you for bringing your energy, smiles, silliness, and personalities every single day. 💙

To our families: Thank you for trusting the YMCA with your campers this summer. It has truly been a privilege to watch them learn, grow, make friends, and HAVE FUN!

☀️ SPIRIT WEEK RECAP! 💜

What a week at Camp RiviMac! From Mix-Match Day and Crazy Hair Day to cheering on the Detroit Tigers ⚾, our campers packed Spirit Week with fun and memories! And yes… we made cup phones for STEAM! 📞😂

📚 A special thank you to our wonderful visitors who stopped by to read to our campers! We appreciate you taking the time to make their week even more special.

🥹 We can’t believe there’s only ONE WEEK OF CAMP LEFT! We’re saving the best for last—Best of Camp Week is going to be our BEST one yet! 🎉

FALL SWIM LESSONS ARE COMING!

September & October swim lessons are the perfect way to keep your swimmer building confidence and skills as we head into the new school year. Give your child the skills they need to enjoy the water safely by registering for swim lessons today!

Our swim lessons help swimmers of all levels:
Build water safety awareness
Improve swimming skills and technique

🌟 LIFEGUARD OF THE MONTH: ALEXIS! 🌟

Help us congratulate Alexis on being selected by her fellow lifeguards as our Lifeguard of the Month!

Since joining our aquatics team in March, Alexis has become a valued and respected member of our staff. She is always eager to learn, improve her skills, and help those around her succeed.

One of the things we appreciate most about Alexis is her patience, kindness, and willingness to help others.Alexis takes the time to make sure everyone feels comfortable and understands the pool rules.

🏴‍☠️ Treasure Week Recap at Camp RiviMac!

What a treasure of a week! Our campers had so much fun making their own treasure chests, creating treasure maps, exploring STEAM, marshmallow animals, dancing at another Silent Disco, building new friendships, and making memories along the way!

It’s hard to believe we only have TWO WEEKS of camp left! We’re soaking up every last moment of summer together.

Next week is SPIRIT WEEK, and we can’t wait to see everyone show their camp spirit!
