We have some exciting news to share and two wonderful opportunities for you to support Arkay Incorporated before the end of August!

🏆 Vote Java Junction for "Best Coffee Shop"

We are thrilled to announce that Java Junction by Java Junction By Arkay has been nominated for "Best Coffee Shop" in the Best of the Best 2026, Readers' Choice Awards from The News Herald!

As you know, Java Junction is much more than a place to get a great cup of coffee. It is a vital training ground where our participants build confidence, socialize, and learn how to work at a small business. Winning this award would be an incredible honor and massive boost of confidence for our hardworking team.

How can you help:

Vote: Please visit https://thenewsherald.bestinvoting.com/ to cast your vote for Java Junction. It is listed under the Shopping section for voting, and you must make at least 3 selections to submit your vote. You can vote once every 24 hours. Voting ends on August 31st.

🎵 Concert for a Cause on August 31st 🎵

Our Arkay Incorporated Employment Services Department will be hosting a booth with informational brochures on Arkay as well as Java Junction By Arkay coffee and treats for guests to enjoy.
The event is from 5pm-9pm at the Grecian Center and will include live music, local food, and community impact.

There is a cost to the event which is $5/person if you are interested in attending.

What's so great about bowling?

Many Arkay Incorporated participants love bowling and have fond memories of when we used to do a weekly league!

Beyond being a favorite activity, a trip to the bowling alley is full of practical skill-building.

When we hit the lanes, we practice number skills, gross motor coordination, balance, turn taking, and patience.

It’s a great way to get exercise, practice physical coordination, community habits, and of course, have fun together 🙂
