πŸ“¬ Postcard Writing Campaign – We Need Your Help This Summer!

This summer, we’re asking community members and supporters to join us in an important postcard-writing effort. This is about much more than a reminder to vote.

We are sending a critical message about the proposed SAVE Act and other issues affecting voters and communities across North Carolina. These postcards will help educate, inform, and mobilize residents on matters that impact our rights, our voices, and our future.

Whether you can write a few postcards or many, your participation can make a difference.

For more information or to volunteer, contact us today!

Elections will be here before you know it! πŸ—³

NOW is the time to visit your local elections office or website to check your registration, make sure your identification is in order, find your polling location, volunteer to work the polls, and get in the loop about what's going on with your local board of elections by attending monthly meetings.

This year's election is going to be the most important one of our time, as almost all of our rights have been under attack by the current administration. It's time to mobilize and make sure we get our community to the pollsβ€Ό

Don't wait until it's too late - Stay ready so you don't have to get ready!

has always been both a declaration and a demand.

A declaration that LGBTQIA+ lives are worthy of joy, dignity, and respect. A demand that the systems around us rise to meet that truth.

This month, we celebrate the resilience of a community that has never stopped pushing for a more just world, and we recommit to that push alongside you.

Equity isn't a destination for some. It's a future we must build together, for everyone.

πŸŒŸπŸ‘‘ What a beautiful and inspiring journey it has been with our Johnston County NAACP W.I.N. (Women in the NAACP) Chair, Ms. Latonya Inyang! πŸ’œβœ¨

Through her leadership, dedication, and vision, we successfully launched and reactivated our W.I.N. Committee, creating a space where women throughout Johnston County can come together, uplift one another, and focus on issues that matter most to our communities. 🀝πŸ’ͺ🏾

From advocating for the SAVE Act πŸ—³οΈ to organizing meaningful activities, raising funds for important initiatives πŸ’°, and building stronger connections among women across the county, our W.I.N. Committee is making a difference and creating lasting impact. 🌸🌟

Most importantly, we have had the honor of showering our new Queen, Mrs. Sheila Durham Bowens πŸ‘‘πŸ’, with the love, encouragement, and support she so richly deserves. Her grace, strength, and commitment to service represent the very best of our community. ❀️

Today, we proudly celebrate that we are here, we are active, and we are moving forward together! πŸŽ‰πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Congratulations to our 2025–2026 Queen πŸ‘‘, Mrs. Sheila Durham Bowens! May your reign be filled with joy, purpose, and the continued love and support of the Johnston County NAACP family. πŸ’œβœ¨πŸŒΉ

105 years later, we still remember what was taken from Black Wall Street.

The Tulsa Race Massacre wasn’t just an attack on a neighborhood. It was an attack on Black success, Black wealth, and a thriving community that built for itself despite every barrier placed in its way.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the stories too often left out of textbooks, and the legacy of Greenwood that still lives on. Never forgotten.
