13.5% of Johnston County residents face food insecurity, which is defined as as inconsistent access to adequate food to live a healthy life. 15% of children in the county are food insecure. Of these children 33% are financially ineligible for federal programs like free and reduced lunch. This leaves families entirely reliant on local charity and community safety nets. Our club members regularly stock the little food pantries throughout Central Johnston County. Won’t you join us and provide nutritious food in these little pantries?

On Fridays you can find our club members delivering Meals on Wheels for Community and Senior Services of Johnston County. This program allows recipients to stay in their own homes and experience a life of independence and dignity. This is one of the many ways our club partners with other organizations to amplify impact in the county. Martin Tetreault
