Members of the JOCO Teen Drivers Club at Smithfield-Selma High School recently took to the sidewalks to share an important message with their classmates and community: drive safely and buckle up! 🚗
With creative Halloween-themed posters reading messages like “No Tricks, Just Safe Trips” and “Boo-ze and Driving Don’t Mix,” students encouraged drivers to stay alert, avoid distractions, and make responsible choices behind the wheel. As parents and students exited the school parking lot, club members handed out candy and cheerful reminders to buckle their seat belts.
The event, part of the club’s ongoing mission to promote traffic safety awareness, was a fun and engaging way to combine seasonal spirit with life-saving education. The JOCO Teen Drivers continue to set an example of leadership and responsibility by helping keep our roads and community safe—one trip at a time.
Mark your calendars! The JOCO Teen Drivers, in partnership with Street Safe, will host Beyond Drivers Ed on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at SSS High School.
This interactive program will feature driving obstacle courses led by professional drivers, along with local police and state troopers on-site to promote safe driving practices. Students will have the opportunity to experience real-world driving challenges and learn critical safety skills.
