It was Smithfield Alumnae’s pleasure to partner with The Surry County Sheriff’s Office for National Night Out on Thursday, August 6 at Surry County Parks and Recreation Center! Our fifth year in partnership! We prepared and distributed school supply bags for high school students. In Suffolk, we partnered with the Upsilon Xi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma at City of Suffolk’s National Night Out. There we provided informational support for the fraternity’s men’s and boy’s wellness initiative. The Smithfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated wishes all students, faculty and staff a safe and healthy 2026-2027 school year!

Deltas Reign in the Queen City! The 32nd South Atlantic Regional Conference of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. was held in Charlotte, NC, July 30 to August 1 and the Sorors of Smithfield Alumnae Chapter were there to experience it all!

Together, Smithfield Alumnae Chapter Sorors and members of the Phi Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. bagged 120 grocery bags for delivery throughout Isle of Wight County in partnership with Isle of Wight Christian Outreach Program, 402 S. Grace Street in Smithfield. The Christian Outreach Program provides food, furniture, diapers, and emergency assistance to those in need living in Isle of Wight, parts of Surry, and parts of Southampton County.

What an incredible day of fun, fellowship, and community support! The Smithfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. extends our sincere appreciation to everyone who helped make our 1st Annual Beautiful Baby Contest Fundraiser a tremendous success.

Your generosity, encouragement, and participation made this fundraiser possible and will help us continue serving our community through the programs and initiatives of the Smithfield Alumnae Chapter.
