Good morning! I Hope your weekend went well! I know Facebook is not the only means of communication and I intend to also send emails to try and reach as many people as possible. I would like to get in the habit of updating the community on things the HOA is currently working on and give status updates between HOA meetings. A lot of the things that need attention, normally come with some sort of red tape to get fixed. I’m hoping that giving updates will not only hold us, board members accountable, it will also show your dues are making a difference. First update-
The irrigation for the townhomes(A),
The board has approved the estimate to get this fixed. Work will begin ASAP

Pot hole in the alley for townhomes (B). Issue has been sent to our property manager to get estimates, waiting for her reply.

Pool/clubhouse repairs have been sent to property manager to get estimates, waiting for her reply.

The board is meeting this week to discuss some other issues including landscaping and common areas.

I know there are things that matter to you that are not on this list. They will be! We pay a good amount to a property management company and are going to hold them accountable. We are gonna work through some high priority items and then keep it moving. Sorry for the long read, they will get shorter each week, I hope! Have a great day!

The HOA BOARD would like to welcome our newest member James Maurer as VP! James has lived in the neighborhood for just shy of 2 years and served in the Navy for 20 years.

“I am looking for an oppurtunity to use the leadership and problems solving skills that I have acquired to shape the future of our community. While maybe not our forever home, my family has commited to a long term investment and I would like to ensure that our property maintains or increases value.”

Riverside has been notified of the flooding. We urge everyone to submit a report through the provided link to VDOT while we await their response.

VDOT is responsible for mowing vegetation on state maintained roadways only. Mowing is scheduled on an annual basis and typically begins in late April and ends in late October. When we get excessive rainfall during a very short period of time, Benns Grant BLVD does flood. Riverside Hospital is required to use the sediment blockers to prevent buildup in the storm drains. Please remember that you should never drive through a flooded street, and that we do have a second entrance to the community.

Update: the vehicle has been described as a silver/gray crossover or small SUV. The occupants were young teens. This information is being shared, not to start a witchhunt, but so that we can make sure that all of our resident, including our children,are aware.😊
