It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend Mr. Al Casteen. Mr. Al was a tremendous supporter of public safety in the county and especially supportive of us here at Isle of Wight Rescue Squad. From great laughs to apple pie ice cream you touched the lives of many. You will truly be missed!

As many of your are aware Chuck Glassco passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. There will be a graveside service held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery, in Suffolk. Chuck was an a long time member of the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad and a 27 year member of the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad. He proudly served in the US Navy followed by a career with the Telephone Company and ended his service after many years with the Isle of Wight Sheriff's Office. Public Safety personnel are ask to gather at Holly Lawn Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday to show our final respect to Chuck and his family.

Saturday we had the pleasure of training the amazing Girls Scout Troop 0726 at Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue! The girls did an amazing job and will use these skills when someone is in need!
