So, with our blood drive yesterday, we collected a total of 25 units based on 23 donations. 3 walk-ins and 2 new donors! Changing the lives of up to 75 patients who may need blood. Awesome work to our Ballard Community!

We sold out of everything at our picnic meal, 3 TIMES! This was our first community meal since before covid so we didn't really know what to expect. While we adapted and over came the challenges, we will do better next time!

Thanks to all our donors and volunteers who helped get this time done. Town and Country Market and Fareway in Huxley are the best! Please show them some love. Without them it would be really hard to do these things. Besides, they help a lot of groups in our community.

We can't forget to mention the Ballard Jazz Band who provided entertainment for the evening. What a great resource in our community.

Final shout out to our EMS crew. We had ¼ of our team working on this project. Thank you for all our hard work you put into these events.

Wish I had pictures.... Next time, I get someone dedicated to taking pictures.

It’s the most wonderful time of year to arrive safely to your destination if you’ve been celebrating with spiked eggnog or jolly cocktails. The holiday season is a time for togetherness and the Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau (GTSB) wants everyone to get home to their loved ones safely. While most Iowans never drive after drinking, impaired driving is a leading cause of deadly crashes with an average of 37% of fatality crashes being impaired-related. Phone a friend, an Uber, or stay the night before getting behind the wheel if you are impaired.

An OWI will definitely get you put on Santa's naughty list. Don't risk it... get a sober ride to guide your sleigh home this holiday season.
