Today at the American Legion Department of Pennsylvania Keystone Boys State, we were delighted to receive a special visit from our KBS Consultant, who stopped by to check on the program and connect with our citizens and staff.

A heartfelt thank you to Past Director and current Consultant Bob Munhall. Your continued support for Keystone Boys State does not go unnoticed. From your dedicated leadership as Director to your ongoing guidance as Consultant, you have played a vital role in keeping this program strong and impactful for generations of young Pennsylvanians.

Thank you especially for being our biggest cheerleader — your enthusiasm, encouragement, and unwavering commitment truly inspire everyone involved. We are grateful for your presence and all that you do to champion the values of leadership, citizenship, and service that define KBS.

Today during check-in, we had the distinct pleasure of welcoming a proud 2026 Keystone Boys State citizen whose family legacy beautifully embodies the enduring spirit of this program. Standing alongside him were his father, a 1980 KBS alumnus, and his grandfather, a 2007 KBS alumnus—three generations united by the same commitment to leadership, citizenship, and service.

Young man, you now carry forward a remarkable family tradition that spans nearly five decades. Your father and grandfather walked these same halls, forged the same bonds of brotherhood, and emerged as better citizens ready to strengthen our Commonwealth and our nation. Their presence today is living proof that the lessons of Keystone Boys State do not end at graduation—they echo through generations, shaping families, communities, and leaders for a lifetime.

As all citizens begin this transformative week, remember that you are not just participating in a program; you are joining a proud legacy of service and excellence. Embrace every moment, engage with purpose, and lead with integrity.
