👻📞 Ghostbusters: The Flowchart?

I made a flowchart out of the lyrics to “Ghostbusters.” It’s probably not logically sound, but hey. Apparently, there’s an alternative solution if none of the conditions apply.

Fear-based messaging might grab attention, but the research is clear: At best, these types of messages result in short-term behavior change. When a caregiver feels judged, they disengage instead of listening. That's why effective Technicians keep their message simple, short, positive and real, meeting caregivers where they are instead of scaring them into compliance. If you lose power during Hurricane Isaias and use a portable generator, remember to run it at least 20 feet away from your home.

Never run a generator indoors. Carbon monoxide is a deadly gas you can't see or smell and it can kill in minutes.

Sometimes people will run a generator in their garage with the big door open. One portable generator can produce as much carbon monoxide as hundreds of cars. Even with a large door open, there is not enough ventilation to be safe.

Always run your generator outdoors and make sure you have working carbon monoxide alarms.
