Things at Harvest on Main that just make sense. 🌾

Meals made from scratch. Fresh flowers from a local family florist. Our own signature coffee. Basil growing right outside the kitchen. And plenty of thoughtful little details that make stopping in for groceries—or lunch—a little more enjoyable.

Harvest on Main was built around a pretty simple idea: a neighborhood market can be convenient, fresh, delicious, and thoughtful all at once.

So whether we’re cooking lunch, stocking the produce section, growing herbs out front, or making sure good food doesn’t go to waste, we’re always looking for ways to make this little market better.

Turns out, a lot of good things just make sense. 💛

September is bringing a little bit of both seasons to Harvest on Main. 🍎🍂

Chef Blakely’s new menu makes the most of those last weeks of summer produce while starting to welcome the flavors of fall—with Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops, Sausage, Kale & White Bean Rigatoni, Lasagna, Roasted Butternut Squash, Maple Roasted Carrots and plenty more in the rotation.
Plus, some familiar favorites aren’t going anywhere: Grandma Flo’s Meatballs are still on the Friday lineup, Marinated Chicken Thighs with Thai Rice return throughout the month, and Buffalo Dip + Mac & Cheese make regular appearances, too.

☀️ A little extra sunshine is going a long way at Second Harvest.

Our rooftop solar array at the Community Thrift Store generates more energy than the store needs. And now, that energy is helping power more of our work.

Over the last year, the excess energy generated by our solar array earned Second Harvest thousands of dollars in annual utility credits—enough to cover nearly two months of electric bills at Harvest on Main.

And the panels are still putting that summer sunshine to work. In our most recent billing period, the thrift store generated nearly 2,445 kWh more electricity than it used—continuing to build credits that can help offset the market’s energy costs.

It’s one more way we’re making every resource go further: an investment helping power one Second Harvest program is now reducing the operating costs of another, keeping more of our resources focused on what matters most—meeting community needs.

Soaking up the sunshine. Lowering costs. Powering more good in our community. ☀️

Great finds at prices that help your dollar go further. Boutique and vintage sections that make the treasures a little easier to spot. A place to charge your phone, pull up a chair, or grab what you need from the Community Free Fridge right next door.

Because to us, a community thrift store should be about more than what’s on the racks. It should be thoughtfully designed around the people who shop here—making everyday needs a little easier to meet and creating space to feel welcome while you’re at it.
