Thank you to everyone who came out for the 1st Annual Currents and Campfires kayak event. The weather broke and we were able to enjoy a great day on the water and some great food and fellowship afterwards. We would like to extend a special thank you to our event sponsors and vendors for making it a memorable experience and helping our veterans and families to unplug from the chaos of life after service.

Based on the potential for severe weather on Friday night, we unfortunately will be cancelling the camping portion of the event. The event for Saturday is still a go and we ask that you arrive by 11:00am to facilitate registration. All other events are a go and we will still have lunch at our midpoint stop and dinner once we arrive back to the VFW. Camping is still available Saturday night and we hope that you will join us for some post event activities. Please reach out if you have any questions.

In addition to being a great example of Native American heritage and history, Shawnee Lookout is a great place to catch some amazing views. Looking forward to hitting the trail with our Friday evening early arrivals on August 7th. Hope to see you at our Currents and Campfires Gathering August 7-9.
