We’re proud to share this new video highlighting the incredible work of the 180 RCO community.

Recovery isn’t a straight line, it’s built on real relationships, honest conversations, and people who show up for each other every single day.

Due to an upcoming wedding our presence is needed at an event tonight. No meeting tonight.

Next week is graduation week and we will not be having a meeting then either.

The holidays are the hardest for those battling addiction. Maybe they’ve just crossed their 3 month sober mark and then it’s “family bonding time”, or the realization that some loved ones will not be joining them this year leads them back to the cycle of use.

When those hard fought boundaries suddenly wane away in light of the events surrounding them, they don’t need your judgment, they need your support.

Many functional alcoholics use this season as a time to drink more than usual and mask their problem by making it seem festive.

Remember, those with a substance use problem are still people. They have feelings that go deeper than a surface level, in fact most of them feel worse about their problem than you do and would gladly give it up if they could.

It the simple statements that become a cry of help.

• “I feel like all I do is work all the time, and I never have time for me.”

• “I’m not drinking to have fun, I’m drinking to numb the pain.”

• “We just always do this as a family when we get together.”

• “I don’t have a problem, I just like to relax and unwind after a hard days work.”

There is help out there, you are not alone in your struggle and you don’t have to live your life from one buzz to the next. We are here for you! Anytime you need us, just reach out!
