Each year we collect items for shelters and rescues around Washington State. Not all pets will have a warm cozy home for the holidays, so we make it our goal to collect as many items as possible to deliver right before Christmas to help make shelter pets lives a little brighter while they await their new loving forever homes.

Each and every item donated will go to shelters and rescues around the State that you guys choose at the end of the year (Please feel free to nominate your favorite shelters and rescues and tag them here!)

ANY monetary donations go ENTIRELY towards the purchase of Wishlist items. Every paycheck I've received in the last two months has gone entirely towards the purchase of items to get the ball rolling :)

UPDATE 4/7/16: FOSTER HOME FOUND

Old Dog Haven has been asked by Lucky Paws Rescue to share their plea for Roxy. Can you help get the word out about her? Roxy has endured so much, she needs a HOME!

SPECIAL SITUATION: Lucky Paws Rescue is trying to help Roxy, an 8-year-old girl about 45 pounds who has been in a shelter since November, after she was found alone on an island in the Columbia River. She is a shelter favorite and loves to play Frisbee and walks, car rides and snuggle time.

There is suspicion she could have mammary cancer, but good hope that it might be benign. Lucky Paws has a veterinary oncologist in Olympia, WA who has offered to do the diagnostics. Lucky Paws is looking for a foster home along the I-5 corridor within Lewis, Thurston, Pierce counties or surrounding areas. The shelter simply is not equipped to provide more medical care or testing for Roxy, but they are advocating for this special girl to have the chance she deserves. A quiet home without any other pets would be best, as Roxy loves to chase kitties, and she can be very selective about other dogs, especially females. Older kids would be fine.

Everett, WA. Cuteness Alert!

Will you join us in sharing Jade again today? What a pretty girl! She's a cross post for the Everett Animal Shelter in Everett, WA. Jade is ready to start the new year in her forever home!

Jade is a darling 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel/Pomerianian mix. She is a very well behaved dog who adores everyone that she meets. Jade has wonderful house manners and loves going for walks. She would also love a warm lap to call her own and at only 16 pounds you won't even notice that she is there. Jade has done well with other calm dogs and should do OK with kitties. This girl will appreciate an adult home that is calm and will treat her like a princess. Jade will be on a special diet for life, and regular veterinary exams, as she has had very large stones removed from her bladder. Bladder stones are common in dogs and with the proper diet and wellness exams Jade should live a long and healthy life. Adorable little Jade is posted for the Everett Animal Shelter in Everett, WA. Some 1,000 dogs and 100 cats that had been destined to be killed at California shelters were flown Friday to various Pacific Northwest airports to be taken to no-kill shelters.

We found this cutie cowering in our lobby. Anyone with information about the owner should call 206.859.4007 and leave a message if you don't reach someone. She'll be in good hands until we find her home.
