THANK YOU to all the early Annual Give supporters! Your generosity has helped raise $34,045 in one-time, recurring & matching gifts so far! We're a little more than 1/3 of the way to our goal.

If you missed Curriculum Night -- and all the QR codes around the school, here's your chance 😉 Every dollar raised directly supports academic programs, student enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities for nearly 1,800 Ballard HS students via our PTSA Grant Program. Funds will be used THIS YEAR.

Reaching this goal is essential to closing funding gaps and ensure our students continue to have access to the programs and experiences that enhance their high school education.

Donations in the past have ranged from $20 to $2500. We encourage every family to contribute at whatever level is meaningful & manageable for them.

🗓️ Reminder/Update -- THIS THURSDAY: BACK TO SCHOOL COMMUNITY NIGHT with the BHS PTSA and members from the Ballard High School staff that support your kids!

☕️ Get "the tea" straight from the source! -- We'll be talking to the school counselors, teen health team, and BHS students about services and supports offered to Ballard Students. The students will give us 1st hand insight to their experience!

⏰ Please join us on Thursday, October 15th at 6-7:15 pm in the BHS library.

🚨 NOTE -- this is a time change that was made to accommodate those who may be attending the Ballard Performing Arts Fall Play (Macbeth: When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?)

🫂 All are welcome, you do not need to be a PTSA member to attend.

🚨 ALERT!! -- Rowland changed the yearbook photo deadline... It is now OCTOBER 18th. This is earlier than the last date.

Grades 9, 10, 11 -- If you are interested in selecting your yearbook photo, please make sure to swipe for instructions or check BHS website for more info.

Seniors -- you have until Nov 12 to submit your senior photo. Reference the newsletter or senior-specific instructions previously posted.

REMINDER: Curriculum Night is TOMORROW, 10/8

*Be sure to check Curriculum Night info page on BHS website for agenda and printable schedule for you to prep (ask your student for help) so you know which classes to go to!

Plan to come early to visit information tables for the PTSA, Beaver Gear, Athletics and Performing Arts as well as connect with other parents and educators. The Curriculum Night evening then begin in the Main Gym with Principal Hunt then follow your student’s class schedule to meet each teacher and learn about content and expectations.

C/O 2027 Parents/Guardians - There is a meeting run by the counselors about college in the Performing Arts Center from 5:30-6:20.

STUDENTS - You get to choose which photo you want in the yearbook!

All students Grades 9 – 12 can choose the photo they would like in the Yearbook for the photos that were taken on the Picture Days. You must select your photo online by 10/24

Visit the Rowland Studios website to access and view your school photos. (https://rowlandstudio.gotphoto.com/login)
- Enter your access code
- If you are unsure of your access code use the School Picture Code Look Up
- Select your photo
- Select the Change Yearbook Photo button
- Select the Confirm Selection once you have chosen your picture

BHS Curriculum Night Lunch for Staff & Educators

Thanks to everyone helping make sure the teachers & staff have stamina to make it through a long day, Thursday, October 8th as they stay through the evening for Curriculum Night.

With your help the PTSA is organizing lunch for all 150 adults on campus Thursday, October 8th - the night of Curriculum Night where these educators will be working long hours to host families in their classrooms.

We have opportunities to help day-of, contribute beverages, fruit or dessert... OR donate money ahead of time and we will do shopping!

*BHS PTSA is providing tofu & chicken teriyaki burritos from ! Thanks for your donations to help supplement the main dish!

Whittier Elementary is looking for high-school students to volunteer at our Fall Fest on Friday, October 23, from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Volunteers would help run simple carnival booths and assist with setup and cleanup. The main shift is approximately 4:30-7:30 PM. Volunteers will work under adult supervision and can receive documentation of eligible community-service hours.

We would also love to connect with local Boy Scout, Girl Scout, or other organizations that might be interested in volunteering as a group. If you know of any nearby troops, could you please share their leaders’ contact information or introduce us?
